Work mate
I bought a house about 10 years ago and only have $25000 left on the loan then I'll own it. All I can say is work hard and things will come to you.

there are two ways you can afford to do up cars, sell drugs - or work hard.

i had saved enough money to do a lot of work on my car, and ended up with the crazy idea to buy a house instead, it will be nice having my own garage though!

i get about $320 after tax per week. average $/hr wage, and i dont work many hours (due to tafe..and laziness)

the thing is having a job (and living with parents) means you can put all your costs into the car (and whatever you do on the weekend).

it also comes down to choices too
eg: have 1 quiet weekend each month, and you save yourself up to $200 each time.. amazing sometimes

is it really that easy to afford a typhoon on 320/week even though your at home? what about insurance on top of that?

hmm, I did an online quote on just cars for a 2004 manual typhoon purchased for about $45,000 for a 20 yr old with no licence disq or claims. It quoted $2,052/year. That actually isn't anywhere as bad as I thought seeing as my BA is $1,200/year only covered for $13,000.

There's only 3 ways to get money quickly. 1- Inherit it, rich dead uncle, marry it, etc..... 2- Win it, lotto, horses, dogs, pokies, etc...... 3- Illegaly, drugs, production, selling, Rob a bank, other large theft, etc.....
All of which is nigh on impossible.
Work hard & long, thats it, all honest like.
