get started on a turbo install. You can maybe get a full small boost kit for that money if you're lucky. That's bang for your buck!

Cheers

Trade up to an EF?

Go for a 2.5" Lukey Exhaust, Pacemaker Extractors, Wade 1636 (their new spec) cam i reckon. That's what I'd be doing if I had the cash sitting around.

You'll probably get all that for $1.2k

Save the rest!!!

its the tune that kills you engine as someone on here said... But low boost applications are compatible on std engines with std injectors and stock ECU (like upto 5-6psi boost), Im pretty sure there's quite a few people which have done this.

Check out the forced induction forum on info.. like CHEF's DYI install explains things really well.

But if not forced induction, then go for maybe an ITS engine rebuild? stage 3?

Cheers

ITS stage II 130rwkw engine-$2200 (approx.)

Pacemaker PH4480 extractors-$450 (approx.)

2 1/2" hi-flow cat and mandrel bent exhaust-$600 (approx.)

Total-$3150 (approx.)

Even I've only given approximates, it should all come in under $3500 if you shop around for the exhaust bits.

Its got everything in the post. Search for it. The thread is called ITS ENGINE DEVELOPMENTS or something. The guy that does them is called Mark, and he is a great bloke! Have a chat to him, and work something out, just tell him what you want.
His number is 0415 727 951.

Good luck

Cheers

lol, I myself have been waiting ages to buy that kit. I don't have one myself, but Seton on here has dealt with them, and was very happy.

The turbos they use according to CHEF "aren't my preferred choice" but Im sure for low boost application, they will be fine. If you're only running 5-6Psi boost, then I don't think you will need an intercooler.(especially if you're on a budget).

Stock internals of a 4litre engine are actually very tough, so it will handle it fine, as long as its tuned right.

As for power putting out... not sure, but will definately be felt. I think it will be around 180RWKW? but thats a stab in the dark.

Cheers

Yea that $2500 turbo is fairly small but for 6psi it would be ok. At 6psi the stock fuel system wont be overly happy and at a minimum id suggest a fuel pressure regulator and preferably a bigger fuel pump. But for $4000 id say you would be able to have that kit installed and possibly tuned depending how much you do youyrself and if u get a intercooler etc. 160-180rwkw would be easily expected from this setup.
