El Fairmont won't start and the issue is getting worse. Will fire SOMETIMES and runs perfectly fine once on (except for the fact that the RPM's drop to 0 sometimes and I get no throttle.) For the sake of your attention spans, I'll just dot point what I've done so far.

-Car will fire then IMMEDIATELY die. It will keep turning over after this, but just won't fire. It used to fire the second time after dying, but those days are over.

-Once on, the car is fine. Fuel pump, filter, injectors, lines, etc. are good. While turning over during one of its episodes, the car has no spark, so I've ruled out a fuel problem.

-As stated above, sometimes the RPM's will drop to 0 while driving and I lose all throttle. All power is still working fine, however. It also isn't the neutral safety switch or anything like that.

-Replaced my coil AND ignition module (TFI I think it's called, I dunno. The thing at the bottom of the dizzy.) The car fired. Color returned to my world. An hour later, and it was back to its old habits. These replacement bits did nothing but kill my arms and back. I can't imagine they've made a difference.

Someone suggested buying a new dizzy, which is tomorrow's odyssey. Can anyone figure out what the hell is going on before I spend my entire week's pay fixing this thing? I need my car for work and this little issue is making things very difficult right now.
