First post but can anyone help me? Have an i6 in a '97 NL Fairlane Concord which is not getting hot at all and the termo fans are coming on early and staying on (bl***y cold in Winter as the heater is not getting hot because the motor is not getting hot). I have changed the thermostat and the temperature centre unit but this has not helped.
 HELP PLEASE !!!

Try checking/changing your temp sensors, if your fans are coming on early then they may be stuffed.
I take it since you have done the thermostat that there is coolant in the system.

any trans mods? i know taking my auto out and swapping for a t5 keeps the thermos on 24/7... if not it'll be a fault in that circuit if you've done the sender already (try putting in a manual switch for the thermo's)

also with the A/C turned on the thermofans will always be on

turn your A/c Off, fan speed to 1 or off, crank the temp up, leave car idleing, thermos will kick in when engine temp requires, let the car sit for a bit, IF after doing this it still does not get warm, you need to start looking at the heating side of the car, heater core, assoc plumbing.. etc...

Even with the a/c off both fans still going at low speed. Engine won't get hot enough to get the fans at high speed and thats with it idleing for around 30mins or more
