I plan on doing the mpfi conversion shortly and in all my searching and reading I havent found wether you need an MPFI ecu? I'm guessing I would but have found no mention of it.

what car are we talking? I would assume you would need an ECU to control the injector pulses and fuel mapping...but I could be wrong.

All I know is when changing an EA CFI into MPFI...you need the MPFI ECU to run the car.

yeah sorry forgot the car details, 91 EB currently CFI 5 speed...going to be MPFI 5 speed, got 2 stuffed sensors and its cheaper to convert (depending on how many beers are required during the day)
