Are there any aftermarket coil packs available for the SOHC 6 or do we have to get some Yankie V6 coils adapted to fit?

But i'd be moving the coil from it stock location anyway. |

The Screamin demon 31737 will fit the AU 2-3 with plug leads and harness connector pluging straight up as Grimketel has done. The Screamin demon 31736 and the 31738 as with the Accel 140036 fit the EF and AU1 harness connector but the coil end of the leads are different, I am currently trying to source a set of leads to suit but this is proving a challenge. As tickford_6 said the mounting holes will be different but easy enough to get around.

tickford_6 wrote: sorry mate, no luck on the leads Thanks for trying. I spoke to Eagle leads yesterday and they suggested the AU V8 leads might have the correct ends to fit the Accel coil, went to Repco today and tried the AU V8 leads and they fit, but there to short and have 90 degree plug ends. The Repco guy did come up with a good idea though, he has seen male to male adapters that would fit into the coil and then into the standard coil end of the lead allowing me to stick with my leads or upgrade to something better and keep it standard, standard = cheaper.

Finally sorted a set of leads to fit the accel 140036 coil, Auto One are supplying all the Top Gun parts including 300MAX wire for $118 plus postage, and i will make them up myself with the help of the Auto One shop. You need AU V8 coil ends, standard straight plug ends and 6 meters of wire. In hindsight I would have gone with the Screamin Demon 31737 some new AU2-3 leads and swapped the EF coil harness connector over to a AU2-3 harness connector.

Was the reason you bought that coil purely because it had the right harness connector? |

Yes I thought getting leads to suit would be the easy part, but I think changing the harness connector would be easier if the connector was readily available.
