Well Guys - I got it together - All lined up nice, connected everything, then tried to start it... and nothing.

Grrr.. looked around - and only thing of note was a little click on the throttle body at full throttle. I managed to get it started, but only at full throttle and it was blowing LOTS of smoke and not reving.

Of course, the click was the answer. The Engine had a cover on the throttle body to stop crap getting in it... and I completely forgot about it when I put the rest of the intake ducting on it (I was working from the passenger side).

2 seconds work, removed it, and started the car. YAY!.

It idles a little rough - I think the engine (wasnt high kms..) was converted to LPG and hadnt been run on Fuel much. Im throwing the EF Injectors tomorrow.

It goes pretty alright though - and the response from 4000 -> 5800 is bloody fantastic.

heheheh.. Ahh yes VCT.

Your AU Guide was awesome.

I cut about an extra 5-10mm further in at the top. used a hacksaw for the sides, a jigsaw for the top, and a Drill powered nibbler for the bottom. An Angle Grinder to clean up, and then got a peice of steel welded in.

Very very happy with the result, and I have about a CM of clearance all around (photos tomorrow).

Hadnt told many that it was a VCT :)

Ive used the BBM Signal, with a Normally Closed Circuit on a relay. So it turns OFF when the car gets to 3800 (or thats the way it will work tomorrow)

Did you fit the AU alternator, and sort the wiring out with it ?
If you did, what did you do ?

I did use the AU Alternator. It was actually easy : the 3 pin plug only had 2 wires going to it!. Soldered the newer connector on and away we go.

I do suspect I should upgrade the cable to the Fuse/Fuse and cable to the battery now for higher current, but that will come.
