Hi all,

I recently bought a BA XT auto with 150,000ks on it.

Not long after I bought it, it developed a strange and VERY intermittant problem.

Out of nowhere the car will not start. Not cranking nothing, turn the key and its dead, after a moment or so it will start as normal and very well meaning the actual starter motor and battery must be ok?

It may not happen again for weeks and then it will again.

It has now happened two days in a row and now the car will not start at all.

I also replaced the relay, tightened battery and starter cables, no effect. Any thoughts as to the best place to start? Any common BA problems in this area in relation to wiring or electrics.

if its auto it has the switch to tell the car if its in gear, maby thats playing up try moving it through the gears pack to N or P then try starting it next time it plays up, my EF has done it a few times
