not what falcons should have hanging of the rear in my opinion. love the car, the rest of ur mods sound good and the car looks nice and neat in the photo . . . why did u decide on a cannon? Do u have friends that have jap imports, or did the d***head at the exhaust shop tell u that was the most popular type?

My opinion... I have a wagon and it looks a s**t load hotter than your one with the canon. You ruined the a*** of your car mate.
I'm not watching this topic anymore.. just wanted to give my opinion like everyone else.
Best of luck dealing with everyone laughing at you.

oh you poor missguided little boy...
the magna sounds crap because it is a 3.5L V6 it's the engine layout that make it sound crap not the canon.

the whole point of a larger exhaust (your 2.5 catback) IS TO REDUCE BACKPRESSURE.. backpressure is the enemy of horespower.
think about it, you trying to get exhaust gases out, backpressure is a resistance to exhaust flow.

i know it's a magna, and everytime i see it i tell him to buy a real car and to stop being a ricey gay prick. he'd have done better sticking with his old 3 speed XF S-Pack or the XC wagon he sold me for $85 - now that wagon was loud!!

but there IS a point where you lose too much back pressure. that's the point i'm trying to convey. then the engine has to work more to move the exhaust gases away from the engine because, for example, it you had 5" extractors (i know, impossible, but tryign to make my point understood, just on a rediculously huge scale!) you have to fill the 5" before it can be pushed further down the pipe. the outside air pressure would also push UP the pipe toward the engine, instead of exhaust gases going down the pipe away from the engine.

there are many variables, but from what i've seen, bigger exhausts, cannon's and the like are NOT always better.

(exhausts bigger than the cylinders in the car? just sad!!)

your taking it to far man. this backpressure s**t realy gets to me.
there is proof that no back pressure is the best backpressure.
the thing is you need to have gas speed. a lack of gas speed is what cuases the power loss. you have to build the exhaust to suit the engine.
there is more to it then it appears you know about, so i'm not going to argue about with you.
