fuel filter, coil pack, leads, plugs, almost anything to do with the injection or ignition. your gonna have to provide some more info.. What have you done maintenance wise, what have you changed, not changed, etc.
What colour is your car?

You need to be a little more specific. If by 'breaking down' you mean the revs die off and it feels almost like the transmission is slipping, I may have an answer.
Mine was doing this at about 2,300rpm when changing up under mild acceleration. Turned out to be the coil pack, replaced it, spark plugs and the leads at the same time.. problem solved.

Its don't think its the transmission because it revaluation fine above 4000 rpm I've only changed the fuel filter so far I'm changing the plugs and leads on Friday and possibly the map sensor

My Cam angle sensor has given me issues similar to this before.

id go spark plugs, leads first then coil pack, i had same prob, high revs was fine but low revs an under load would miss.
