I would, there is power to be gained by blueprinting, add longer engine life too. The 4.0 engines in the AU in the production car series were blueprinted, they pumped out some good hp just from that, because they are limited as to what they're allowed to do.
ARP bolts are a good investment in any engine.

so what exactly does blueprinting entail? ive heard the term alot but never really understood what it is

From what i understand, it is working the engine so it exactly matches the 'blueprints' from the manufactor, which doesnt happen in the factory becasue engines are mass produced

I would disagree on both counts, but at the end of the day its up to the person building the engine.

Blueprinting means building the engine to your specified tolerances. Im of the opinion that this is one of the last places you look for power because it does take some effort and the gains are not big. As long as the ring gaps are nice and small and nothing is overly tight its really not going to give you much in the way of power or life.

I have never heard of an I6 having a rod bolt failure. Also you cant get ARP rod bolts to suit 4.0 rods so you need to have the rods machined to take the next size up, which adds to the cost again.
