When I researched I6 EL's a couple of years ago I found that the more common items to go were the head gaskets and water pumps around the 120,000 to 150,000km mark. Other than that, the I6 EL's are pretty solid.

I have EF ones in mine, all I could get at the time. Quote: The car is a dark navy blue (i'm not sure what Ford call the colour, but dark blue will do). Yeah Ford call it Navy Blue, Paint code is N9. My wagon is the same. Yeah, surprisingly We're getting a $1000 trade-in for the Magna. It's got very good interior for a 12 year old car. 186000 kms. Nothing majorly wrong with it. It's never been in a crash. Some paint scratches and stuff. 9 months rego. $50 for two plastic buttons? Geez! I guess it does look better with them on, than off. There are plenty of other things i'd love to do to this car. The missus would like a new paint job. She's in love with the BA XR Mk1 Phantom purple colour, and I like it too, but I imagine that it would take some saving up for that little project to happen. My dream would be to also get a new exhaust with some engine mods. Extractors. High-flow cat. Maybe even a turbo one day The current tint on the EL is getting on the tatty side, so I think we'll get that fixed up first. Any ideas on how much it would cost to get that replaced? -Eliot

Yeah my WaterPump shat itself around the 180000km, but the Head Gasket is going fine *Touchwood* so far and I have now done 197000Km. I think if you always keep on eye on your Coolant levels and flush and change it the Coolant and your radiator every 18months you should be OK

Will post up some pics of it today... today in real normal world time, not 1-year-old-little-boy-threw-up-all-over-the-bed-from-teething-at-4:30am-time.

It cost me $350 to tint my wagon, wagons are usually dearer than sedans as there are more windows to do. I would expect you would be up for even more than that if the shop is going to remove old tint as well

We only needed the On / Off button covers themselves. Fortunately the dealer got a set for us, so we're wrapped about that! After a long day, we finally got the new beast! I haven't had a chance to take some proper poser pics yet, but my fiancé took these as I was arriving home. -Eliot
