fordfreak ef your engine bay looks very nice love the look of the air box but i perffer braided hoses more

2
dasmq where did you get your coolent over flow thingy from like the crome look

3
Where did you guys get your heat sheilds from look killer compeared from the standard one

1.thanks... but braided hoses are a b**ch to install.. and being the sleeved ones that most people put on they retain heat.. and make it damn near on impossible to spot leaks in your hoses should one occur.. Pricey aswell the braided hose kits..

2... dasmq can expalin..

3... "Fast-xr" built them and sold them for $110 each (pick up) as part of a group buy of 10 units.. (stainless steel heat shields)..

in the pics of the engine on the 1st page.. all the hoses are silicon hoses.. yellow/red/blue... only the diametre varys.. 4mm/6mm/10mm...

Try..
"super cheap auto"..
"auto barn"..
-thats were i got the silicon hoses from..

price varys.. but its not too cheap..
*3m of 10mm bue silicon hose $36 "autobarn
*3m of 4mm/3m of 6mm and 1 m of 10mm red silicon hose kit "$49.95" -"supercheap auto"..
*1 metre of 4mm yellow silicon hose.. $16 from "auto barn"..

Johnathon sorry in a rush at work and didn't answer your question the header tank is a PWR one it cost $308 delivered but the finish was crap so I went to a mate and asked him to fix it and he did. The welds and press marks were polished out and he took the burn marks out now you could shave in it. The cost is about $100 to fix.

People thought the manifold was chromed dipped but again same person completed it from start to finish 2hrs cost was around $300 and all the bolts you can see are stainless mushroom polished. You will also notice the hole in the right of the manifold I covered with a Ford badge and the useless tag was removed.

The next thing is to tidy up the engine bay it is untidy at the moment but I have some more ideas but my finances are low after my engine rebuild the motor and gear box is ford performance blue and the diff (lsd) will go in maybe next weekend and it will be blue as well. Then I had a tailshaft that was alloy but it was for a long wheel base but it was lighty polished and sealed but it ws the wrong size so now I'm after one for a sedan and fit that.

Brakes are metalic blue on the front and polished on the rear the kyb shocks will be blue as well. All of my parts are from the good old Ebay including the silicone hoses I used in the engine bay alot cheaper than car shops.

Remove the tank empty it out and put some clean sand in it add water and shake the sh#t out of it it will clean the side as if it has a scubbing brush. Then wash it out and it will look better.

Matt we might go to AFD but I don't know the paint work is crap on mine so thats what my next major project.

The tappet cover is painted by pressure pack. Andizing I'm looking at as the next step as it is not done yet and the colurs have expanded to a better range.

Externaly the boot is pealing as well as the rear spoiler, the rear bumper is scrached from the car trailer, side strips the paints comming off and that toxic bat crap on the bonnet. I have high standards on apperance of my car I was given some money from my sister to do what I wanted with it and the price to respray quoted $6500 plus from the better shops in my area and that is the same colour, so I had the motor and manual gearbox done.
