Well here's my problem. Bought some ramps from Autobarn, all set up nicely, but when I go to drive up them, they keep slipping? Wtf can I do to stop this?

Chock em up dude. Easier said than done on a concrete floor tho.
Try some 2 by 4 between the ramps and the wall, or something REALLY heavy just in front of the ramps. Once you get a wheel on em, they'll stay put.

Yeah I was thinking of something heavy as, but then started thinking about crunching my bumper. Thought there might be some funky trick to it or something, lol. I'll get out there when my wedges are done. Thanks.

And done, used some old wooden planks to hold them in place. There is a little concrete step up to the workshop, so braced the wood against that.
One side kept sliding under, so put another piece of wood on top. Extra plank ended up popping out of place when we got it up, which was a bit scary, lol. p.s. not me in the pics

Drill some 10mm holes (approx 30mm deep) into the concrete (2 per ramp) and holes to suit at the base of the ramps. Then use some 10mm bolts to pin the ramps to the floor. Thats what i did to my floor and it also saves the hassle of having to line up the ramps all the time.

if you have some rope tie it to the ramp and run it down the drive so the rear wheels are on it when you drive up the ramp.

Thanks guys, have to do that drilling bit one day. Good idea Twanson, but no rope, and I don't trust rope, lol.

Lol good thanks, had them with sweet chili sauce. My bro is eating them in the picture, along with the creaming soda I got.

Now there's initiative for you ..good idea.... I glued some old carpet strips to the bases on mine which seemed to work. A mate made the angled parts on his smooth by attaching two pieces of plate. This worked , as I can't see why the ramps have "rungs" anyway , unless you were reversing up or had a fwd car. |

Pciture is a bit dark, but if you've got them under the chassis rails... they'll be fine.

Yeah sorry about that. I've got under what I thought was the underbody frame or some crap? Big thick things that won't be going anywhere soon, and unlikely to move, I hope. Looks like a massive fram type thing that is symetrical and reaches most of the length of the car. This is just a backup, because the way my suspension is, if the ramps failed the thing would crush me then bounce, bounce, bounce on me a few times too, lol.

got a spare tyre - throwing that underneath is a good safety thing as well.
