dont goback to carb on the tickford motor stay efi on it loads more power with it. basic eb motors like the cfi benifit from the missing top half of the carb back on it but being a multipoint tickford mototr just work it a little and she should be a nice car.

just for the record my old mans old xe has the old 250 efi mpfi and it still keeps up with the v6 commies when we put a new set of plugs in it lol. it's pretty nice, bigger injectors, roller rockers, and a very very well kept log book from the day it was owned my pop was the original owner and he gave it to my dad 3 months after he brought it so it's been well looked after. you dnt find many xe fairmont ghias in the efi 4-speed laying around that havent got rust dings or have been restored this one has been garaged all it's life allways maintained, and the oil was allways changed every 5000k's with a new filter aswell.

XE was first model to get the MPFI engine. also the 5speed manual.

i would have loved a fairmont 5speed mpfi in the dark green they made. beutiful car.

I don't think the 5 speed was available with the MPFI engine though.
Only the 3.3 got the 5spd, cause even a std 250 would break the weak 5spd. (0508?)
XF update in 1987 was the first falcon to have the T5 fitted.

4.1 mpfi was only available in a 4-speed manual and an auto the 3.3 was the only one available in a 5-speed.
