Hi guys, not looking to piss anyone off if you think its going over old ground then i appologise

my nc with au engine (approx 72000k) 4499s and catback with lpg.

was pulling 0-100 in approx 12 on lpg and i cant remember exsactly on petroll but probably not that nuch better.

is this well below what it should be? as i was expecting about 10 or maybe under.

i know its a heavy car on lpg and auto but i was still expecting better
cause i hear about people pulling about 8s with simmilar mods on a falcon

LPG+ 3.08 Diff+ BTR 4.0 Speeder + 5.3m's of Fairlane = crap acceloration

Sounds about right to be deadly honest, it will be bloody slow off the line, 80-120 wont be quite as bad, but unfortunately those acceloration figures sound about right.

Pretty much all i can suggest is get used to it and enjoy your digital dash, velour and woodgrain, because without a better diff ratio, hotter cam, better intake and perhaps a t5 conversion you will be lucky to get anything near a flat 9 0-100.

Sounds right to me too. an NF NL lane will only do a 8.8 and 8.3 tickford 6. LPG at least 10. Older model with less power 12 sounds resonably good. They wernt buit for speed remember.

helloooo???
12 seconds??? are you people on drugs?
thats defanitly way to slow, i dont car what anyone says.
i used to regurly tow a boat with my au which was also on gas, it was definatly slower but not 2 seconds slower.
should be around the 9-10 second mark. some people dont understand how slow 0-100km/h in 12 seconds is

maybe your torque converter is stuffed? I had a XF many years ago. when i bought it it was slow off the line, I went to many mechanics, they all said its normal mate. thats how they go.

Then I went to one mechanic and he said big motor like this 4.1L should shred the tyres off the mark.

The torque converter is buggered. I changed the torque converter and geeeeeeeeeezzzz, this thing with no stalling up just spun all through first gear. thats how they go. I reckon that car did 0-100km in about 9 secs. extractors, zorst, new torque converter and rejetted carby.

Yeah, it's the weight and size of the thing, and it wouldn't make a lot of power.

My best 0-100 in my BA so far is 6.92 :)

I have an NL Fairlane and it has tickford intake and i do 0-100 in about high 8s low 9s and on lpg about 10.5 and your is older with less power so 12 to me sounds exactly about what it should. Take a mate next to you and time it.

a tickford intake will make fuk all diffreence 0-100, maby 0.1 of a second if that.
"ghia97" his got a au motor with 72000k 157kw(same as ef and el), techinicly speaking it should be in pretty good nik. and im pretty sure a nc has a lighter shell then a nl
dam 12 seconds....
ive been in au fairlane taxi that go quicker then that when entering the freeway.
i tested my focus today and i was running 8.8,8.9.
12seconds is wrong

I was being serious about the XF. The buggered torque converter made it really slow off the line but whack in a new one and it shred the tyres no bull.

I used to beat my mates 3.0 magna sports off the line by about two lengths but he used to reel me in after that. The XF was bloody quick off the line, like a VN commy
