Currently with the wade 1636 (mild as) it has gotten me a 14.4 with 3.27 gears. ok now i have 3.45 gears and she defently has more kick, so say 14.2 @ BEST with the 3.45's, there has to be another cam for the N/A i6 six that doesnt need a new computer or dialing in or chip to run proply, that has more power then wade's 1636 profile, does any one know ? i wanna bust alteast 13.9 without taking out interior etc - Grechie EDIT: ok just by lookin RPD' my best bets a R3 to run on a stock computer....btw im not interested in JMM's cam's Ay Grechie i have a stage 3 crow cam with vernier whish is working well for a $300 spend, also Eugene at Flowcraft does a good custom grind, hes on Westwood drive in burnside.

If you're crossing the line in 4th, you would have only just changed into 4th. There's no way you would get to change to 5th.
At the speed you're running with those gears, you should probably be right on the borderline of having to change to 4th. Probably maxxing out 3rd 30m from the line or so? I wouldn't go above 3.7's as your's is manual, or it will more than likely slow you down over the quarter. |

yep, as i hit 4th, like a second later its over the 1/4, so hitting 4th gear way earlier i reckon would improve my time for sure, so 3.7's would do a 14 flat ?
also the rpm im at is like 3700 ish in 4th coz i just hit it pretty much

I'm not 100% sure, but if you have 3.7's you'd be getting higher up in the revs in 4th as you cross the line, but i reckon they'd definately help your times.
Just remember though, they may be annoying on the road, or youmay love them. Depends how much hwy driving you do? |

Changing to 4th is not beneficial at all if your only just shifting over the line!
Some members (i think southy) swears by there 2.92 ratio! Personally im very happy with 3.45, its all about the stall in a manual, you could just look at a better set of tyres so you can improve 60ft times? More grip=more stall, more stall= better launch!

Yeah changin to 4th isn't ideal, but unless you do like Southy has done, and run a 2.9 diff, then its going to be inevitable trying to run a 14 flat.
Even then the motor will probably be running out of puff, and not really powering over the line (depending on setup of course). |
