2 1/2 inch works best with the EF's from what i've been told. i've got a 2 1/2 inch system with resenator removed and a 3" tip - sounds pretty sweet eh. hehe frank reckon it sounds better than his!

lol, i didn't actually pay for mine - was on the car when i got it! i'd say, on average, exhausts are bout $250-$300 or so, and then the tips vary on what you want - have seen lukey 3" tips for $65-. maybe look at getting extractors at the same time? often you'll get them a bit cheaper if you do them both at once - i realise $$$ may be an issue, but just a thought

Lukey or Redback (decent brands) 2 1/2" exhaust $200.00 to $350.00 depending on what combination of mufflers you get, weather you need new rubbers, gaskets and what not, weather you need the cat converter modified... (by the way, steer clear of Lukey extractors). Add extra for the tip, depending on how fancy you want to go - some places will throw in a cheap freebie, but a very nice one can cost you over $100.00! Just ask Daniel!

So whats involved in installing an exhaust - is it a DIY job with a screwdriver and spanner type job, or is welding involved. I'd like to save on labour, but if the tools required are not available I'll be stuck.
The prices for those zausts and extractors on ebay are great.

usually you need to weld up the exhaust.

And heres me thinking it was just a bolt up procedure behind the cat if you get a cat back system.....

I wouldn't go near Springvale exhaust, went to get a price for mine yesterday and apart from trying to sell me the dust on my shoes, he was expensive and I don't think he knew what he was on about. I tried explaining the comp series pacemakers had smaller primaries, but he swore black and blue that the bigger the pipes the more power - very old school. A lot more research goes into designs these days. Oh he can't even use a calculator correctly.
