hi guys my air conditioning wont turn off when i take the key out of the ignition air comes out of the wind screen vent its an ebs2 Fairmont.. climate control and smart lock bypass shift kit.. to stop this i have to take the battery terminal off. my mates reckon theirs a short some where but dont know were it is or carnt find it any help and i would be forever so grateful gotta go to gunnadar swap meet this weekend

Just had a quick look at the wiring diagram and there is a relay which supplies power to the blower fan.I do not know which or where it is bit I would start with the relays near the fusebox and pull them out until the fan turns off.And of course put the relays back as you do it.You may find the relay connections burnt or melted or the relay contacts inside the box melted together.Hope this helps .Kevman.

pretty sure this said relay is mounted next to the handbrake... The small plastic panel comes off from around the handbrake and it plugs in beside it...

Not sure what your problem is though... When you say Air conditioning you mean blower fan or AC light on the controls or what exactly? You know that if you have the AC button pressed in on the E series the blower fan comes on low speed regardless of it being off? Although when you turn the car off it should go off...

There isn't anything else locking on with the key out? Seems very weird... So any more info on exactly whats going on would be helpful...
