Well talking about E85, its a good fuel.. but anyway you wouldnt have to scrap the car, just upgrade your fuel lines etc as E85 will eat the old syle lines/components away.
But yeah the BA is cool with it, though i'd carry a few fuel filters with you for a while as the E85 will clean all the sludge out of your petrol tank.

thanks for the info, i won't be doing it untill a while as so far i haven't even seen a servo with e85, when i do im doing to clean out the fuel tank before hand so theirs no s**t to clog up the filter. but i can't wait to have more power at a cheaper running cost

imo the costs are questionable, at the moment e85 is around $1.05. per ltr vs $1.55. for 98. e85 is consumed about 30% faster compared to unleaded,

yer ive heard that, some people have calculated it to save literally 5 cents per 100km's. but from what ive heard it's going to go down in price once it becomes a more popular standard fuel rather then a exotic fuel that no one uses, but we all know this mostly likely won't be till 5-10 years. best way to look at it at the moment is MORE POWER  caltex is going to release it at another 70 locations across Australia by the end of 2011 (currently at 30 caltex stations).

Hey Winman is your throttle body clean ? Have you tried cleaning it ?
Another thing you can try is a throttle body reset. The procedure has been discusssed on here in the past. Turn on ignition put accelerator flat to floor and whilst flat to floor crank engine for a few seconds. repeat again, turn off ignition and restart the car as normal.
And anyone whos thinking that the car will start and rev the answer is B series wont start if the accelerator is held flat while cranking.
Try that and see how it goes before you change s**t.

DEAR 93EB,
I know you wrote this about 3 yrs ago but it fixed my problem I was having with my xr6 it was vibrating badly in drive and the (!) warning light kept on coming on at first after spending $200 to put it on diagnostic which resulted in nothing we thought it was an issue with the key as mine is slightly bent and doesn't flick back have to do it manually. so thought it was something completely different but now after months of trying to figure out 2 issues it turned out to be just 1. SO THANK YOU THANKYOU THANKYOU CONSIDER YOURSELF THROUGHLY KISSED :D

Does it idle very rough like its going to stall ?
Sometimes for me it helps by resetting the throttle like you have done.

Also cleaned up the last few posts.
Some people get a bit excited..

I would have thought that 750 would have been fine.

It's more a strong vibration and only does it while idling in drive like
sitting at lights.all other gears are fine and once you take Off its fine

My BA is a bit like that sometimes but i just accepted it as being a typical Ford. :?
It has its days. Maybe one day i will look into it a bit more. Eg check inlet manifold is tight, Clean throttle body, clean ISC.

Mines done the same vibration at idling, I've only noticed it while sitting at lights as i can see the side mirrors vibrating. Took the car down to the track for the first time about a month ago, since then the vibrations have been weaker... guessing having the engine well thrashed cleaned it out
