I just bought a replacement PCV valve since the plastic snapped on my previous one but I can't get the metal bit out of the rocket cover.
I've pulled and pushed with all my might and it won't budge. I've even had to take the rocker cover off and still no luck. I tried prying it but te screwdriver snapped, also the piping connector on the metal valve has all broken off in attempts trying to get it off. How do I get it out??? Once it's out I can just replace it with the new one. |

Do I hit it from the top of the rocker cover or through the bottom? |

like he said take the rocker cover completly off and smack it form the other side.
possibly use a screw driver if required. make sure to put everthing you remove back on the motor.

Us a 3/8th drive extension on the inside of the PCV valve with the rocker cover turned upside down in your lap.
Strike the end of the drive extension hard with a hammer without touching the rocker cover. It should then pop right out onto your lap, replace the rubber gromet when you replace the PCV valve. Cheers Paul RedRoo |

Yeah I smacked it like crazy from underneath but no go.
The strange thing is that it moves around when I twist it with a screwdriver |

Problem solved.
Removed grommet ring and hit it from the top |
