my mate swapped his engine over. he had a ef ford falcon gli auto and swapped with a ef fairmont ghia engine and computer. but the speedo doesn't work and the auto doesn't shift into fourth. and we can't work out why.

did you swap the loom aswell? if you didnt there is probably some connections missing that were in a high series loom and not in a low series? just a thought, might be wrong... did the gli motor die of something??

culd be complete coincidance and the speedo transducer may have died. or be unplugged..

yeah we cracked the head and worpped the motor. The motor had a hard life. we used the same harness, etc. just very wierd how it doen't it. The engine runs fine. Got it for $1500 with only 77,000 KM Tickford 6.
