$15k is quite a bit for an EF - even considering how much work its had done. has the thing been thrashed? or has he treated it pretty well? worth getting an RAC check done on anything you look at seriously anyways just to make sure

if your heart is set on an el xr8 mate you should go the el xr8, then you can do "YOUR" own mods to it, the way you wanna do it if yah know what i mean  , but in the end its up to you :D

yeah if your heart is set on the el xr8 then I would go for that, if you get the other then you'll always be thinking what if.

:P In the end its your choice.

and thing is if you spent the amount of money hes spent, but on the V8 chances are you will end up with alot more power. Doesnt take much to get a V8 going quick.

and the EL XR has the 3.45 LSD aswell.
