 just curious if anyone could give me some small but efficient methods of getting some power out of my el futura. i am already looking at an exhaust full set system but unsure of where to go or what to buy also how to get more air in :) i was looking at the 'Big Mouth' kits and thinking of creating a pod filter setup and getting a friend to build a metal container that would house the pod filter **keeping from heat** and then being able to join the big mouth up to it so i have an efficient setup of both pod filter and massive intake :) any other ideas or concerns would be much appreciated

Don't waste that much time on the intake.. it isn't that bad to start with.. and a pod will fit in the standard box.. get a 2.5 inch exhaust and a cam.. and then look around for a 3.45:1 xr6 diff.. that later one will make the most noticeable difference.

There are no factory EL turbo engines.. to put in a BA turbo is wayyyyyy more expensive and complicated.

100+ dollars for a cam..

In my case, where a powerdyne supercharger was fitted, now removed, the standard intake snorkle (with the 'lips' filed down) is fine with the circular hole through the chassis roughly 90mm diameter right underneath the air box, then i just cut a hole in the airbox itelf to suit the hole, now with the foot to the floor i have natural atmospheric pressure! Even with a high lift 1521a cam!

Goto autospeed.com.au and search 'secondary air intake', its a good site and everyone should read every article they produce, they cover everything from tyres, cams, intakes, exhausts.

Stuff you wont learn anywhere else :)

Advancing the timing a few degrees and running premium fuel is a cheap mod on the EL.
