car is a BA xr6 non turbo
ive brought a after market oil pressure gauge to install, and ive been told but lots of people and various websites to get a T piece adapter with the part number 230032, any way gauge comes in and sure enough it fits into this T piece adapter, very very very tight fit, but it fits in. any way after a very long time i finally get the factory sender out of the block (im using a combination of 19mm ring and normal spanner), anyway i go to test screw in the factory oil pressure sender to this T piece and the bloody factory one is significantly bigger then the input size of the T piece. ive used calipers on the factory oil pressure and its 17mm wide screw. have i pulled out the wrong sensor?? or is the T piece WAY off size. other info (it may or may not be wrong, tell me if it is i may have pulled out the wrong sender) -factory sender is 19mm nut with a 17mm width thread. -thread size on the T piece adapter is 13mm wide -above the oil filter their is 3 sensors or things that go into the block, if u drew a line between them all it would look like a triangle, the oil sensor is the bottom one closest to the front of the car ive got two photos taken below of the sensor i pulled out. is this even the oil pressure sender because to me it looks more like a oil temperature sender

Oil pressure sensor would have a hole in the end.
That doesnt look like it. You want the one closest to the filter I think. |
