Has anyone heard of these wonderous JMM head gaskets? I have been told by a mate that they supposedly will never fail, and JMM promises that. I have poked around their site, and cant find s**t about it.

Just wondering what people think of them cause i am in the market for a new haed gasket at the moment.

Most people dont seem to have too much trouble the second time, especially using the AU gasket. It depends on how much JMM will charge you.

AU headgasket, AU head bolts (dont forget to lightly coat them with engine oil), torqued to spec, happy motoring.

A very brave man guaranteeing the head gasket against sevear overheating, warped head, years without a coolant change. Maybe there is some fine print there to guard against this.

Who in their right mind would make such a promise about a 6 cylinder engine's head gasket?

Well I would assume they would put a heat tab on the head at the back, cook the motor, tab pops, there goes the warranty :)

Well, like i said, i was TOLD about it, and their website has no useful information on it. so yes, there maybe lots of fine print, it may also be wrong. But i am trying to find out one way or another

AU onr still sounds like a good prposition though.

Does anyone know how much the AU gasket and all associated s**t and bits cost?

headbolts about $35 a set, AU metal gasket about $70, the other gaskets inlet and exhaust are 99% of the time re-usable and up to you.

$1200-1400 is lots $.

I had mine welded, machined flat, pressure tested, reconditioned with Bronel guides, heavy duty valve springs, 41mm exhaust valves, ported and polished, flow tested, put the head back on myself with new head bolts and gasket for less that that.

Not hard to do yourself - just get the block and head CLEAN, the head straight, torque the gasket up right.
