hi everyone,

Just wandering, i put on a k & n filter and when idleing i notice a very strong plastic smell?
Last week i got the extractors and catylitic converter so wasnt sure if that had a part in it too.

Any quick response would be very helpful, hopefully nothing major.

Thanks

hav a look for any wiring or vacuum hoses that may hav fallen onto the new extractors.
If noy maybe just som crap has fallen on them.

do as benny d said but if you cant find anything i wouldnt worry too much, when i got my new exhaust i could smell it for weeks, even had smoke coming out of the bonnet on the way home when it was first installed, its just all the paint etc burning in and setting, nothing to worry about

Realistically your exhaust guy should have told you it would probably smell a little until everything had settled in, even my old cat back system had a noticeable smell for about 3 weeks when I had it put in my old car, the guys who fitted it told me it would do that so I wasn't to concerned. But otherwise the previous advise is good, keep an eye on it.
