get a PBR XR6 clutch. Good pedal feel, good grip and life span, and they hold up quite nicely to second gear standstills and a bit of power. Plus you can probably get the kit for around $300 including a thrust bearing.

i think my mechanic got me a PBR performance clutch for my t5 in my 96 XH. never gave me the full name or specs for it though, he threw out my old clutch in the box and packaging that the new one came from. never was able to tell me the part number or anything he wrote down from invoicing or order, so i just went with it. pedal feel...oh it's so good. so very solid and a big improvement over the stocker.

still stall it sometimes on an uphill slope of a dirt/gravel carpark being tentative with the rears, tends to light up at the take-off point of pedal release. a great buy all in all. i think it was around the $300 mark for me too. quality bit of gear.

Anyone reckon they can get me an H/D ED XR6 clutch kit for less than $430?

Mate, you may be in luck.

I have an "LUK" (I know f**k all about clutches) from JMM which I had installed in my car for 3 days and replaced with a new one because it was slipping like a b**ch and I thought it was a dud!

Later found out that the bloody thing wasn't machined!

Your's for $200.00 (you arrange freight) if you want?
