any one no whats the best way to prepare a set of extractors for painting without getting them sand blasted?? for instance sand paper etc...

Angle grinder with a wire wheel attachment is what I would use. Bunnings or any other hardware store sells them.

id use a flap disc, not a wire wheel
its just sandpaper on a grinding wheel basically

and when you use wet and dry does the extractors have to be wet?or can you sand it down dry?

yeah i was sorry, well maybe you need to respray them as well. im still trying to figure out whether i need to wet the extractors to use wet and dry or just do it dry??

no worries mate, yeah i should but cbf stuffin around with them, my engine bay isnt for show anyways but i dont want them heaps rusty either. as for wet and dry, duno mate, if you have them off why not wet them anyways??

haha yeah i just bought a set of second hand extractors and hi flow for 80bucks yesterday and i wanna make em a bit more appealing because im abit of a fussy bastard...ill give that a goo.
