Yea you'll have to leave std inj there. The ecu won't control or peg back inj pulse at low rpm...Besides in most6 cases they run rich...You could up the fuel presure? From 275 to XR6 300kps....

You cant just bolt in bigger injectors with the stock ECU. I did it prior to installing my Motec.. and it was horrible!! Fuel consumption goes to the s**t, and you puff black smoke at idle, and basically everywhere else through the rev range.. and this was only with 24lb/hr!

I'm now running 30lb/hr injectors with an aftermarket ECU and shouldnt see any fuel consumption or idle quality issues.

If you want to get a little more pressure in there, go for the higher spec fuel reg, or go aftermarket/adjustable fuel reg.

Generally these 4L's run very rich on the factory tune anyhow, so I cant imagine why you'd want more fuel!

if you put in an XR6 regulator do you need to change the injectors as well?
