Heater and air-con stopped working properly a few months ago. I thought it might be a blocked heater hose or faulty valve. I noticed there is a very small leak coming from a hose just above the valve solenoid thing down below the left hand side of the engine.
Is this a warning sign for something big about to happen guys?

I have the same problem, no heater and no aircon... all stopped at the same time.

dont know about the leak, i assumed there was, hence the reason the aircon not coming on, but if the heater doesnt work there must another problem?

I know there is a bit of corrosion going on with the pipes some of the hoses are connected to around that valve thing.

Exactly the same problem that happened to me a few months ago. I'm about to go out and flush everything clean so I can run some new coolant. I haven't had any in the engine in about 8-9 months lol.

I didnt have the heater when i had a radiator problem. The coolant got low and the heater core wasnt filling with enough water to make the heater work. Then when the heater is on pumping out cold air i pour more water into it and it would suddenly go hot.

As for aircon. You probably have a leak in the gas system. You can test it but you need to know what your doing.

Just take it to a joint and they can regas for like $60-$90

No air-con is warm with the face position, but switch it to face and feet and recirc and it gets very cold quickly. Sounds more like the door doesn't it?

When they test aircon for gas leaks they usually use a black light as alot of gases contain a dye that would show up.

I would get it done by an expert as it may need to be regassed as well. Its probably easier in the long run than chasing the problem.
