hi just put a t5 gear box into my xf ute now at between 2000 3000 rpm i have what like a nose and vibration i belive that it did have this in car with old gearbox as well but not as much may be due to new rear gearbox mount
the prolbem is there if i put my foot on clutch and out of gear as well so has anyone have a answer for me |

hey amn
well if u decsribed the problem a little bit better it may help so you have a noise between 2 and 3 thousand rpm... and the problem was there before? and still is there now even with your foot on the clutch or not? does it make the noise in neutral while sitting still?

yes it still there when in neutral it like something out of balance the car use to be a bit rough at 100km but was a high rev 3000rpm (why but T5 in ) it like it had it before but was not that much counld hardy feel it

harmonic balancer yes that what i thought but why did it get worse wnen installed T5
have harmonic balancer on order see if that make a diff |

Was it auto before or 4 spd?
If it was manual and you used same clutch and flywheel then it could be flywheel or even pressure plate out of balance, as been mentioned the harmonic can also cause the problem. |

was a 3 speed manual same flywheel used but new clutch kit fitted as well

hey i have a similar problem it gets noisey and vibrates about 120km/h(2500rpm then gets increasingly worse as i get faster (tested on private property safley). vibrates with clutch in. have you checked your engine and box mounts?
