Hi guys just wondering if all fords use the z9 oil filter as im gonna service a friends laser liata, and was wondering if it still uses the z9 filter?

z9 sounds a bit big for a 4 cylinder laser dude. :|

all e series 6 and 8 do and im pretty sure the newer models do too
but i do belive that the laser dont

but one of the 4 banger boys will comfirm that :lol:

laser will be a Z79A.
at some point the filter changed to a small body filter, The Z79A will still fit those engines.

Yep, Z79A

eastcoast auto parts have them cheap, iirc they're around $11 or $8 at big-W, but they've since reduced they're auto dept.

haha thanks a lot for that guys that wulda been a laugh getting under there and trying to put a big assed z9 into the laser, prob wouldnt be able to fit it in the engine bay, thanks for the help saved me a lot of stuffing around.

supercheap here is terrible, prob hav a reference book but not sure how to use it lol, so i thought id ask wher people know what they r on about, fordmods
