just a minor question i have an oil leak comin from under the p/s bracket somewhere. but its only leaking when the engine is running. my question is . is it safe to start and run the engine for about 30 seconds with the belt off... ie no water pump, a/c alt, p/s etc

i may be ya powersteering switch that is a common fault.

nope its engine oil. i found what it was it was coming from the chain adjustment all fixed now

that happened to me once in my old EA, i undid it then didnt seal it right, cruised off, started pissing oil onto the alternator! which buggered it of course.

yea mine was just building up on top of the front side of my water pump then dribling down onto the cross member
