hey guys

1st of all i got a eb II recently added a el 2 motor in it .

now everything works on the dash besides the oil pressure guage .

it just sits on red.

ive tryed unpluging the pressure gauge off the motor and it still sits on red!

now is it more then likely a fauly pressure guage on the motor or earthed the wire somewhere or what ?

im using the same wire that was connected to the eb motor.
and dubble checked it in the gregurys book.

ne 1 know whats the deal ?

you've got a switch instead of a sender in.

At a glimps If you see a cylinder (black plastic or goldish color) around 8cm's long then most likely its faulty.
If its a hex bolt with a connector around 3cm's long its just a switch and thats your culprit!

definately sender/switch problem. If ur original dash didnt have an oil guage in it then your car has an oil switch. That either says wether you have oil or dont in turn turning your oil light on and off. With an oil guage you need a sender which can send u variable data which shows u the level. At the moment your guage is acting like the light, either only being on or off, oil pressure or not.

Get one from the wreckers.There not expensive. Just make sure the idiot knows wat he is looking for lol

it did have a oil guage in it with vaults rpm kph fuel temp . the eb is a ex coppa.
the el motor that went in was a futura not sure what that would have ?

el futura will onlyhave a switch, Not a sender.
The only way it'll have a sender is... if someone upgraded the cluster Or was a x cop car also.
