My oil pressure (on ef ghia) has been sitting up a bit higher than usaual after i have changed the oil and filter bout three weeks ago. Sometimes it is up really high near the red and other tines it is what it used to be just under half i think. What does the oil pressure read on your cars when she is warmed up?

Any suggestions?

Looks like you may have put in a thicker oil. I use a 20w/50 and mine sits at around 3/4

HPR 30 is 20w-60. Oil pressure is usually higher when cold and drops off as the oil gets hotter & thinner.

As for it being high when you kane it, I wouldn't know I never kane my car.

better than having low oil pressure ;)

i think dads in his ef fairmont is faulty..

was sittin in the drive and noticed it was in the red, sat there 10 seconds later it is 2 bars down or something, tap the accel to give it a few revs, just a tap so tap it to 3 grand and just let go, and it gets to the red within 5-10 seconds, then drops back down, like, just idling and tapping the accel for 2 seconds u can see it move up and down..

I use penrite HPR-15 (15w-60) its an EL and the oil when hot runs just over 3/4 and idles at about 2/3.

If the oil pressure is abnormally high check that the terminal on the oil pressure sender is secure and clean.
