half way to work today the oil pressure gauge dropped to zero. Drove it gingerley to mecahnic after work, no rattles or anything indicating lack of oil, thus giving me the suspicsion its guage related.
However there is still a little bit of movement in the guage suggesting it could be a pressure relief valve stuck or something, whiich means much more dosh. ah well all will be revealed with a master guage check tomorrow. fingers crossed. anyone had similar experiences?

Hmmm, can't say i've had a similar experience but i would say it's more likely to be your oil pressure sender than the guage itself. Have it checked out and see what the mechanic comes up with, shouldn't be too expensive to replace.
