Hey everyone, just started the car half an hour ago for a fuel run before work tomorrow..
beep beep beep beep, 4 or 5 quick beeps bringing to my attention the red light on the oil pressure gauge. Oil level is fine but the oil is black, couldnt say how long ago it was changed but it would not have been much over 12,000 if at all. Should it just get sent to the mechs Saturday morning or should i try changing the oil first up and whats the best way of clearing up this problem? Cheers, time for a commodore i think, vx 5L or something with the ls1 edit

dont always believe the ford oil pressure gauges, lol. try taking the plug off the pressure sender and give it a good squirt of contact cleaner, that sometimes makes them work.
my EL sits on 7 on the gauge most of the time, dosent drop much and when it does it drops down to 1 or 2

Mechanic was looking over it, he had that day replaced the intake runner gasket, engine is f**k, water in the oil (wasnt there when i checked it).
The bearings in the engine are shot apparently, headgasket needing doing and something about the oil pump not working and something about a problem with the oil pump and the distributor working together not all is lost, im buying a Husaberg FE550 and a vx Selling the el shouldnt be a problem with a low km fresh engine, oils, coolant and 3months warranty on parts etc
