after giving the car a flogging (due to not having a working clutch - to and between breakdown/mechanics/welders) i payed a lot of attention to the guages and sounds.
i've never really checked the oil pressure guage but when paying close attention it seems to fluctuate. at idle it sits on/very close to the second bar (half way) but when giving it some juice (eg. 1500/2000 rpm in neutral) it goes up to between the third and fourth bars (3/4-4/5 of the way) just wondering if this is normal, it never caught my eye before i was looking for any potential trouble. cheers |

Generally a low km motor won't show as much difference on the gauge, compared with a high km motor especially if the oil is old..... cheers and have a nice day .................................

well with my oil guage some times it will sit half way or near the 7 area or when it at idle at lights or something it will sit really low then when u drive off it will go back upto half way again. it changes everytime u started the car up. the car has only down about 14,000kms since rebuild EL XR6.
