I have a hi-volume pump in my EF (well the box says high-volume anyway). Cost the same as a standard replacement and got it from the local auto shop (Sprints). Ive seen a lot of people list high volume pumps in engine specs but to be honest I have no idea what is needed to qualify a pump as high-volume (i suspect nothing).
Sorry, suppose im not helping much

I belive JP make the better ones... Although I'm told that the relief spring in them is a little softer than it probably should be. But I was running one of the pumps in my for a few years Ghia pre-accident, and it was OK.
As for high volume, I'm told that the gears in them are a tad larger and can pump a little more oil than compared to the stock pumps. JP's most basic pump is a slightly higher volume than the stock pump. But if your interested JW, you can actually get rebuild kits for the stock pumps. They are about $35 from Fraud, and come with new gears, relief spring and gaskets. |

the standard pump at the moment is working fine, just that with the turbo the oil line means theres more oil requirements, so i thought a higher volume pump might be worth lookin into.
especially after why my engines being cahnged
