Hey guys,
I am just wondering out of curiousity, if you have a turbo(i dont) what happens with the Exhaust manifold. Because can you still have Extractors(i dont again) because the turbo is on the exhaust side. Cheers |

yeh you still can have extractors however they are very different.. they loop around to join in a common place quite close to the engine which the turbo can bold onto.. its hard to explain look up some turbo manifolds for some pictures.. makes it alot easier to understand

Not really extractors... just an exhaust manifold (same thing really, except extractors assist the flow of gas... turbos and manifolds have the exact opposite effect).
Exhaust gets a lotta back pressure on it... but pressurised air going in more than makes up for it

Exhaust gets a lotta back pressure on it... but pressurised air going in more than makes up for it what he said! although i have heard of a few turbo setups with the turbo mounted at then end of the extractors before the cat so to decrease the spool up time of the turbo as the gasses are moving damn quick
