Hey all, drove around a bit today, getting prices on:
1: Exhaust
2. Cam

Best pricing i found was:
1: Exhaust - Xforce Extractors (Polished Stainless), 2 1/2 inch mandrel bend exhaust, Magnaflow Cat, 2 x High Flow Muffers + 3 1/2 dump tip = $1100 Fitted

2: Cam - Stage 2 Crow cam fitted = $600

Opinions on this pricing? I've gone the stage 2 for now so i dont have to fork out for a new ECU, but later down the track i might upgrade to a stage 3.

Also, The guy doing the cam reckons, since my car is pulling 116rwkw basically stock (only raised compression), i could get an extra 30kw out of the cam alone, true?

Oh, and have anyone heard anything about these Xforce extractors? The installer has a good rep for his exhausts, and he swears by these! Plus i reckon the Polished Stainless look better than the Pacies :D personal opinion

not too sure, sorry... i only got fitted prices, so then i can fall back on warranty/fitters warranty if something goes wrong.

CJT Racing is who i got the quote from, they are in Melton. 9747 9988

I got the X-Force extractors... they ain't a bad design, the secondaries are probably a bit short, compared to the primaries, so in theory they promote top end, but i can't compare them to anything else cause ive never had anything else.
Don't buy them just for the polished stainless.
They get some pretty funky discolouration after the first drive anyway.

that exhaust sounds really cheap, I got quoted 1100 fitted for extractors, 2 1/2 mild steel press bent and no cat included, where'd you get that quote?

Exhaust was quoted at Taylah Made Exhausts in Melton...

As far as the cam goes, $200 is a bit for fitting i agree, but in the off chance something goes wrong and the engine bends itself over and f**k itself, i want to be able to rely on warranty. Plus, Taylah Made and CJT are 10 steps from eachother, i can get it done at the same time (one finished, and rolls it into the other's garage. So its a mega convienience.

Taylah Made Exhausts are an awesome fitter, they did my last car with a set of extractors and exhaust, also 3 of my mates cars, never had a problem, sound and perform great. Highly recommended *stops rant*

Jody at Taylah made is the best! I know him well.Darren's extractors are slated to be the best in the business for all situations, but you pay the price! There is a thread here somewhere about Genie 21X extractors.
Makes good reading.

ive asked the guys at TME about their different extractors, and they still swear by these Xforce's... so i might have to take their word for it, as they've never done wrong by me before.... anyway, off to work
