My heater pipe cracked where the small pipe is welded to the larger pipe under the manifold.

Of course it is no longer available a Ford Spares, I would immagine most wreckers not removing one as it is a biatch of a job for the money its worth, what options are there?
I was thinking a weld? Who would be able to do a job such as this? is the steel too thin?

Feel free to share your experience here!

Try brazing it, I have a torch for brazing if you want to fix it that way or I have some epoxy stuff here that would do a great temporary fix to get you out of immediate problems.....

Its actually the missus EF, photo was of mine as I dont have a working camera.
As it is the Missus car and a s**t it doesent need to be beautiful, which leaves some more options.

Might take you up on that help if I dont get the one my niebour has.

Are you sure its no longer available? I went to Ford NZ a couple of weeks ago and they still have them at $140NZD. And they normally get them from Ford Australia and mark it up about !00%...

Unless something has changed in that time

Best to get a good replacement. trying to weld/braze one of those up that has rusted out will be almost impossible. Check with Papa Smurf and see if they are still available.

That part is STILL available. There is the one that comes out of the back of the water pump which is obsolete but the one from the thermo housing is still available.

Self serve wreckers. Probably charge you $5/$10.

The one on the back of the waterpump is the one I need.

All well and good, but have you ever attempted the removal of one of these babies? Not fun!
Hence the reason I am looking at other options.

Would be a good idea though you would have to have the waterpump end machined to suit and for the O ring I suppose.

Brass T-Piece 3/4in in and out and 3/8th on the T-piece. Just cut the pipe and install with some heater hose.
