ok guys.. in a final effort to fix my fuel economy im gonna replace the oxy sensor..

my average is 17.3L/100 km with around townish driving, but not to much peak hour with the car rarely seeing over 3000rpm

went to unbolt the old one today to have a look at it before i bought it.. and the f**k wont budge.. i got extractors fitted a few weeks ago, so im thinking that the guy at the exhaust shop cross threaded it when he put it back on  got my bro to have a shot at gettin it off who is an apprentice mechanical fitter and he was using 2 spanners etc and we only managed to get it to turn maybe 1/4 a turn at the most!

so can anyone tell me what oxy sensor do i need for an ef 6.. and best place to buy it?

i might go past the mechanics first, see if he can get it off, if it wont move then ill go back to the exhaust place and give them a blasting and ask politley for them to remove the damn sensor

try using some rost off, or nut cracker spary to help get it off, remember it gets hot and can seize on, although the guys who fitted the extractors should have put some grease on it to stop it but sounds like they didnt.
have u check that the o2 sensor is really stuffed? if its not repalceing it wont effect your fule econemy anyway. also sounds like u got more of a problem than just a 02 sensor even if it is shot, it wont make ur econemy go that bad on a ef.

faulty sensors, air leaks, loss of compression, dirty injectors and carbon build up on valves(which alot of people forget to clean out too) low tyre pressures, and wheel alighnment out. list can go for a while

any thoughts on if the oxy sensor would be threaded? how hard should they be to undo? and if its threaded will it be the oxy sensor or the extractors thread thats f**k?

i will be p****d if the extractors are.. and if they are i can assure you the exhaust guy will be fixing them..

wheres the fuel filter? accessed thru boot? what they worth? and where can i get one :D

Under the read passenger side door, just behind that main strut.

You see a little cylinder about 50mm in diameter and about 150mm long. Its the fuel pump access that's in the boot.
