Ok i removed the Oxy sensor and found alot of black carbon indicating a rich mixture. Im seriously leaning toward the IAT sensor that i will replace tomorrow. See pics below.

when I changed the oxy sensor it improved my consumption by about 20%+ with both gas and petrol.
I do have cold running issues with lpg but I understand that's pretty normal.

Mine is pretty good on petrol consumption on Hwy trips but may be drinking the petrol cold start ups. Will let you know how it goes after replacing the IAT sensor which may be your problem Richard with cold starts.

Ok i installed the IAT sensor this afternoon, it did change the smell of the exhaust fumes (not as rich) the idle improved slightly but may have to wait for the ECU to re-learn the new mixtures. One thing that i found weird was the old IAT sensor was moist with fuel and the intake appeared moist. I have no idea on how thats happened unless it was that rich there was unburnt fuel in the cylinders that somehow blew back into the intake. I will check the timing again tomorrow and set the base idle again then erase the ECU for any faults. basically start from scratch in the KAM.

An oxy sensor (or HEGO sensor) from Repco is around $67 and the IAT is $37. Now that was with a discount but $350 for the oxy sensor is way too much. Anyways ive replaced both and the hesitation when cold is gone. So the Oxy sensor improved fuel economy and the IAT got the fuel mix right from cold start up. I still have a slight miss on idle but mainly in park or neutral, is fine in drive.

I read in my manual that a faulty Canister purge control soleniod can cause poor idle, stalling and poor drivability. It can be found next to the carbon canister insite the left wheel arch.

Hey all ive been thinking that my ignition timing problem may have contributed to the IAT sensor failing. It was moist with fuel when removed, now my timing thanks to a Haynes Automotive repair manual that forgot to mention that from ED onwards that the Ignition timing procedure was different (waiting approx 2min after the idle raises then drops straight after starting engine self test mode) my timing was approx 7-8 deg retarded which may have caused over time for unburnt fuel to blow back into the intake manifold covering the IAT sensor causing it to read wrong, this may have been worse on a cold start as more fuel was injected but not fully burnt. So from EXPERIENCE dont trust every manual you read!!!!

Use a syphon pump (those ones for $5 from Supercrap, etc) and drain the overflow tank - the pump should fit down the hose to the radiator, drain it down by a few inches.
When the water level is below the thermostat housing, you won't lose a drop.
