any exhaust should be able to get them for you
how much work has been done to your car? if it's still just a mild setup, i'd get the lower series pacies, the comp series may be detrimental to performance if you havent had much work done to the engine

I got mine fitted at an exhaust shop for $500 a while ago. I'm starting to think they might be a little cheaper now though.

go the $410 deal on ebay from online performance autos, they are a pleasure to deal with and nice quick postage/communication. I got mine from there.

I've delt with them too, they are a good company. By the way, I've discussed with a few places now the difference between the normals and comps, so far all have said that the comps are a newer design that are designed to mainly achieve power gains from the mid to the high revs. While the normals are more designed for normal daily driving and gives improvements all over, especially low to mid revs. Just what I keep being told... |

just spoke to a guy at pacemaker headers in SA, he told me the comps(PH4480) are better in the low end and the standard (PH4499) are better in the mid to high.

I'll second kodak, i have the standards and you can feel the pick up in the mid to high revs.

Foxracer, do you like the pick where it is, or would you prefer it to be lower?

I dont know about that....My ef is really sluggish off the line with the 4480's probably cause of the low diff ratio and auto aswell but after about 2000rpm it almost feels like boost is coming on it starts to hammer after that.

Isn't that because at 2,500rpm the cam starts to be a better design for power, when below that it's designed for economy or something>? |

I have a set of PH4480's on my AU and I am happy with them.
I had mine dynoed before and after. Power increase was good overall with 2-3 rwkw from 2000-3000 dropping to 1-2 across 3000-3800 where the BBM switches over to short run then 6-10 rwkw gain right through to 5200rpm. I don't reckon the 4490's are any good its just an old design with "big holes" approach. Maybe OK for forced induction or big ported heads. PM me your email if you would like to see the dyno chart. |
