Any performance header/extractor, for an inline 6, should have its oposite cyl linked in a pair, meaning 1 & 6, 2 & 5, 3 & 4. then join together in a triple union/collector. The original factory headers from an 84/85 VK 3.3 Dunnydore with EFI had those type. They make power because they scavenge better. Same deal goes for the V8's, the ones that all collect at a single 4 into 1 collector are better for scavenging.

Good point, coz I thought that and thats the impression I got from reading things here. That 4480's were lower range, 4499's higher. I knew the comps were tuned length for racing tho. SO the 4499's aren't tuned length, which is why they're cheaper and have the lower power band? f**k, that completely changes my method of thinking... Ah well, I was looking into the Walker Motivator's anyway

no other way. the 4480 competitions are tuned length with smaller primaries, higher exhaust velocity due to small pipe blah blah, better low end, 4499's bigger primaries will give you better top end and less down low. all in all, on the street your really going to notice f**k difference. if you think your pants can dyno 1-2kw then go for it. for me the extra 150 or what ever they were didnt justify the price.

Yep, heaps of difference over the std exhaust. I found it pulled further up the rev range, and harder.
The CAT is a modified BMW unit, 2&1/2" in and twin 2&1/4" out down to the muffler and single 2&1/2" out.

I made it that way so it doesn't drone like a single 2&1/2" system usually does. But still flows good.

Depends what you're paying attention too, because im not looking for overall top end power gains, I'm looking for quicker accelleration off the line.

Are you saying my design is making it slow off the line???? How did you arrive at this conclusion???

Gotta change into 2nd at 60kmh. I liked the ol Val of mine, change out of first at 90kmh, or with the other diff, 100kmh, and 3 more gears to go.
