check my gallery for a picture i did what ever one else did cleaned with degreaser painted the rocker cover with high temp brake caliper paint and yeah i scrapped the ribs with a razor blade and sanded the ribs...... i chose red cause there wasn't no green VHT paint and i thought blue would lok wierd and that is that

+1 for powder coat.my missas old man does power coatin and thats all im gonna do with my intake pipe as my rocker cover is the tickford one and is already powder coated red.lol.maybe.or just polished.whatever comes round at the right time

did mine on Monday... just went the good old red (because red goes faster) also want the EF power steering over flow and extractors to be white... should look good... just used the same paint as i used on my breaks ($5 super cheap stuff) and has worked fine so far...

realy nice covers here, love the pollished and powdercoats, awesome
mine is just sanded back, 5 coats of primer filler, 5 coats ford monza red (same as the car) then clear coat. been like that for about 3 years when i resprayed my old ea no signs of heat stress as yet.

i have also recently re painted my au cover monza red.
and previously it was painted with el cheapo black. and prior to that the old ea engine cover was also painted monza red and none of them had problems with the paint reacting to the heat.. here is a fresh pic
