Please try doing a search before makign a post also in my opinion it all depends on the setup like a great setup for a pod and perfectly legal is running the BA GT/XR8 pod setup. I've heard of a few people getting gains from that but i am yet to try it. Scoops there are a nice little set of scoops for sale in the for sale section that bolt onto your bonnet and puts air straigh into your airbox (for pics try lookign at fuzion photo gallery.

pod has benefit of noise, but you gotta fiddle around shielding it and intake to it, panel is an easier choice

i recommend k&n.
although i beleive pods are better when set up right. try an ef top airbox, with an xh snorkel, for your panel setup. |

Just about to fit a pod into the standard EF air box, made up a replica of a K&N RX - 4730 out of cardboard, have made an adapter that sandwiches between the air box lid outlet and the rubber section that clamps on to the induction pipe.(had to cut the rubber snout off) Ordered the pod today $130 from A1 Auto. On a rough calculation this pod has one and a half times more surface area as a panell filter. I have pictures but i cant view or upload, have turned of my firewall but still no good, just keep getting the red crosses.

Yeah I think you have to click on to the Tools tab on your Browser page. Then click on "Internet options" then click on to "Privacy" and then you have to lower the Bar slide from High to Medium or low to able cookies from Fordmods. Yeah I use to have a issues with those Red boxes all the time

I just fiddled around with my XG ute the other day ... i decided to take my airbox out and replace it with a pod ... needed to do a bit of modification with to the pipe running from the airbox to the throttle body (as the pipe shrinks down at the airbox).
I used a bit of PVC piping as an adaptor across to the Pod filter and clamped it down nice and strong ... doesn't move. Have found it does breathe better than the standard restrictive system ... will see how it goes over the long term ... it does have more surface area to suck air through compared to the standard setup. Going to shield it soon when I get the time.

so you ripped the airbox out and shoved the pod on the pipe which was going on to your airbox or you took the lid off and put the pod underneath?

Ripped the airbox out.
But the pipe isn't holding the best ... so I am going to my muffler shop on Friday and getting it done there ... also getting a 45 degree silicon bend as well off the throttle body.
