C4/T400. A stock motor will last past 400rwkw, as Fritzz proved years ago.

Thanks for the help guys.. Thats some pretty impressive A: power from a stock E series with bolt ons and B: Gear box got smashed!!

Whats the gear box of choice for boosted E series? Clearly no internal mods are going to make up for the entire housing breaking off. Thats nuts!!

Does anyone have a link to that build thread? It would be goo to have a read.

Those weren't pics of the bellhousing, that was the engine, rod through the side of the block.

Should be able to weld the broken rod back together with a battery, jumper leads, and a big washer....saw it done on a TV show many years ago.

Thanks mate.
So a quick look on ebay shows the prices for these are similar. Which is the pick of them?
Im assuming a bellhousing change and perhaps tail shaft mod would be required?

I see they are 3 speeds.. no 4s around that will work?

I think the answer is a BA xr6-t motor and box. For the cost of fitting a turbo, tuning and all the mucking around. Too much headache.

If your gonna give it a hard time, it will need billet oil pumps gears.
